As the title suggests, things have been a bit quiet for me lately with regard to my own music journalism ventures.
AAAAAAAH IT’S UP! Now everyone can hear it! GO GO GO!! #TheatreIsEvil
…Unless, of course, you are a reviewer like myself and have to trek about Auld Reekie day after day, up Fleshmarket Close, down Leith Street and everywhere in between, covering as many of the best and worst shows that the world’s biggest arts and culture festival has to offer only to come back home and scrawl through your indecipherable notes, trying to remember what happened and what made the show awesome or rubbish.
…and that’s exactly what I have been doing. It’s just the whole “keeping the blog updated” thing I haven’t totally mastered yet.
Amongst all the new articles, you’ll find record and live reviews of some of the best Scottish acts around at the moment, as well as interviews with Maps & Atlases and Alabama muthafunkin’ Shakes (!) which I did for the last issue of Wheel Scene. Next issue out this month, just saying…
